        Introduction

1. Advisory functions and drafting legal instruments

  • Provide legal advice on legal, regulatory, policy and other matters, to the University when referred to the Legal and Documentation Division.
  • Take necessary steps to draft, review, revise and/or modify the legal documents.
  • Make contributions by representing the University on legal, regulatory and policy matters in various committees, projects and special fora, etc.,

2. Functions related to Cases


  • Take necessary action to represent the University in the litigation brought before the courts of law or quasi-judicial bodies or in any other legal forum by any outside party.
  • Take necessary action to represent the University in the litigation brought before the courts of law or quasi-judicial bodies or in any other legal forum on its own by the University.

3. Functions related to Domestic Disciplinary Inquires

 
  • Take necessary steps to facilitate to hold  formal domestic disciplinary inquiries at the University in coordination with respective Divisions.
