The Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) was established in 2021 alongside the founding of the University. Governed by a by-law approved by the University Council, the CQA is dedicated to implementing quality assurance procedures that significantly enhance the quality of academic programs, research, and services offered by the University.
The primary responsibility of the CQA is to develop strategies and mechanisms for quality assurance in alignment with the Sri Lanka Qualifications Framework (SLQF). The CQA works in close collaboration with the Faculty Internal Quality Assurance Cells (IQACs) to ensure a cohesive approach to maintaining and improving quality standards across the institution. Key functions of the CQA include: coordinating the facilitation of identifying and sharing of good practices between academic departments, guiding the preparation of Self-Evaluation Reports (SER) for institutional and program reviews, facilitating the implementation of follow-up actions recommended in review reports and monitoring progress to ensure the effective execution of these recommendations. By doing so, the CQA is committed to delivering a high-standard educational experience for all stakeholders.
As the Director of the CQA, I encourage all academic and academic-support units to adopt best practices that enhance the quality of education. I invite you to explore our initiatives, policies, and the transformative outcomes of our quality assurance efforts.
Achieving excellence is a collective endeavor, and I sincerely call upon the support of all academics, non-academic staff, students, and stakeholders contribute toward realizing our shared aspirations for quality in education, research, management, and beyond. Together, we can ensure continuous improvement and sustained excellence in all our endeavors.
