Welcome to the Department of Technology

The Department of Technology is determined to provide education of outstanding quality at the undergraduate and professional-development levels, producing high caliber graduates who are well-equipped to play leading roles in their chosen careers. We are shouldering the responsibility of educating tomorrow’s scientists and engineers who are ready to actively engage in research which is sharpened by our teaching methodologies.
The department enables and opens a plethora of opportunities for novel innovation by acting as a bridge between medicine and modern technology. At present, the Department of Technology offers two highly demanded undergraduate degree programs that are specially designed to meet the requirements of the respective industries in the present and foreseeable future. The undergraduate degree programs offered by the department are Bachelor of Health Science Honours in Biomedical Technology (BHSc Hons in BMT) and Bachelor of Health Science Honours in Health Information and Communication Technology (BHSc Hons. in HICT) In addition, providing equal opportunities, our staff and students are selected on intellectual merit, regardless of gender, race, and physical abilities. 
The staff of the Department of Technology has expertise in a wide array of disciplines including Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Intelligent Interfaces, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Electronics, and Biomedical Technology. Our staff brings energy and enthusiasm to their work, catering to the demands in their diverse fields. Their well-established local and international industry and academic links allow us to continually refresh and update our teaching and research activities, keeping up pace with the globalized world that consistently uplifts the bar of technological advancements.
The Department of Technology seeks to achieve impact through education, research, and by co-developing solutions with our industry partners in Information Technology and Healthcare industries to existing real-world commercial and social issues.
