On “Introduction to Rasashastra: Unveiling the Alchemy of Ayurveda”
Pre-Conference Workshop No. 02 on “Introduction to Rasashastra: Unveiling the Alchemy of Ayurveda” In conjunction with the 3rd International Research Symposium on Multidisciplinary Approaches in Indigenous Knowledge Systems (3rd IRSIKS 2025) was successfully held on February 27, 2025 at FIM, GWUIM.
The event was organized by the Department of Dravyaguna Vignana, Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, GWUIM, in collaboration with Shree Dhootapapeshwar Limited. The workshop was joined by a variety of participants, including undergraduate students and Ayurveda doctors, all eager to explore Rasashastra. The session featured insightful lectures from: Dr. T.A.N.R. Gunaratna, Dr. R.R.P.S. Nilmini, and Dr. J.M.D.R.C. Jayamaha from the Department of Dravyaguna Vignana and Dr. Ketan Bhapkar from Shree Dhootapapeshwar Limited, India.
Additionally, the Practical Sessions were conducted by Dr. W.A.D.L. Weragoda, Dr. D.S. Yahathugoda, Dr. R.K.A.N. Karuunarathna and Representatives from Shree Dhootapapeshwar Limited, Sri Lanka.The workshop provided an enriching opportunity to explore the fundamentals and applications of Rasashastra, promoting a deeper understanding of this ancient discipline and its relevance in modern-day Ayurveda.
