The programme was organized under the theme: "Promoting a Safe, Inclusive, and Drug-Free University Community: Social Responsibility, Well-being, and Prevention Awareness."
The event brought together academic staff, administrative staff, non-academic staff, undergraduates, and other members of the university community with the objective of promoting awareness of drug prevention, mental well-being, and the collective responsibility of creating a safe and inclusive university environment.
The programme featured insightful sessions delivered by distinguished resource persons:
- Dr. Chaminda Weerasiiriwardane, Senior Counsellor and Psychotherapist, National Hospital, Kandy
- Mr. Dhanushka Sampath Wijesinghe, Counselling Officer, National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (NDDCB), Sri Lanka
Participants actively engaged in discussions, shared experiences, and explored practical approaches to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and healthy university culture.
