Congratulations to Dr Ruwanthi Perera on Receiving the NRC Merit Award for Scientific Research
Faculty of Indigenous Medicine/ GWUIM is proud to announce that Dr Ruwanthi Perera has been honoured with the prestigious NRC Merit Award for Scientific Research by the National Research Council of Sri Lanka. This recognition celebrates her outstanding scientific contribution to the field of public health and malaria control.
Dr. Perera received this accolade for her co-authored publication titled “Reactive Case Detection (RACD) and Foci Investigation Strategies in Malaria Control and Elimination: A Review”, which was published in the Malaria Journal (2020), Volume 19, Article No. 401.
The study, conducted in collaboration with Ms Amandi Caldera under the supervision of Senior Prof. Rajitha Wickremasinghe, Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya, presents a comprehensive analysis of targeted strategies in malaria surveillance and elimination.
