Faculty of Indigenous Medicine Student Wins 1st Merit Prize at SLAB 2025 National Essay Competition
Ms. Mukulaanjalee Gunarathne, an undergraduate currently reading for the BAMS Degree Programme in Year 3 Semester 2 at the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine, was awarded the 1st Merit Prize in the Island-wide Essay Competition (Open Section) organized by the Sri Lanka Accreditation Board (SLAB) as part of its 20th Anniversary celebrations.
The award was presented by Ms. Chandrika Thilakaratne, Director/CEO of SLAB, and Air Vice Marshal (Retired) Prasanna Ranasinghe, Chairman of SLAB.
Representing Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine at this prestigious national event was a proud and significant moment for Ms. Mukulaanjalee. Her essay highlighted the critical role of accreditation, particularly in supporting and empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
