Technology Undergraduates Excel at DHack 2025
Team MediMinds, consisting of Nilupul Wickramasinghe, Divyani Liyanage, and Ashani Dissanayake, second-year undergraduates from the Department of Technology, Faculty of Indigenous Health Sciences and Technology, won the 2nd Runner-Up position at DHack 2025 – Design-a-thon, organized by the Students’ Association of the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
The competition, which brought together 57 university teams from across the country, served as a platform for students to showcase their creativity and innovation through cutting-edge UI/UX design solutions, featuring multiple rounds that tested participants’ design thinking and problem-solving skills. The team’s project, “AidMate”, a digitalised first aid knowledge platform enhancing accessibility to emergency guidance, was recognized for its innovation and design excellence. The final round took place on 1st November 2025.
