The Faculty of Graduate Studies of Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine has introduced the Master of Science and Postgraduate Diploma in Management and Administration of Ayurveda Institutions with the objective of developing managerial skills and practices related to the administration of Ayurveda hospitals and other institutions.
The master’s degree program aims to give a broad overview of Management and Administration concepts. Hospital administrators are expected to be strong leaders with superb administrative and managerial skills. To ensure success, the Postgraduate Diploma and Master of Science degree programs are designed to enhance the confidence, professional skills, communication skills and problem-solving skills that will contribute to the effective and efficient functioning of the Ayurveda healthcare institutions.
The Postgraduate Diploma is a one year program consisting of 30 credits including course work and the research project. Master of Science degree program, which spans throughout two academic years, consists of 60 credits including the research project.
Applicants who seek admission to the above programs should have following qualifications.
BAMS/BUMS/BSMS degree awarded by a recognized university/ higher educational institution/ institute
or
DSAC/DSAMS/DIMS/DAMS qualification awarded by recognized university/ higher educational institutions/ institute and at least 5 years of work experience after being registered in the Ayurveda Medical Council
or
Any other equivalent qualifications accepted by the Senate of the Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine.
