This Programme
The Department of Indigenous Medical Resources offers a Bachelor of Health Science Honours in Indigenous Pharmaceutical Technology as a specialized four-year, full-time degree program. The program is designed to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical experience through lectures, practical laboratory sessions, group discussions, field studies, industrial training and research opportunities via a student-centric knowledge dissemination and acquisition process.
Introduction
This is a four-year honours degree in Bachelor of Health Science Honours in Indigenous Pharmaceutical Technology (IPT) offered by the Department of Indigenous Medical Resources, Faculty of Indigenous Health Sciences and Technology, Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine. The students qualified with a noted Z-score in the Technology and Science streams of the G.C.E.  A/L examination will be eligible to apply for this programme. This Bachelor of Health Science Honours in Indigenous Pharmaceutical Technology Degree Programme – BHSc. (Hons) in IPT is presented to provide effective and efficient services to the indigenous pharmaceutical industry by integrating and applying science-based technology for the advancement of indigenous pharmaceutical products to meet growing healthcare needs.
