Department of Dravyaguna Vignana, Faculty of Indigenous Medicine conducted a Field Visit to Malitha Osu Uyana, Haldummulla

Department of Dravyaguna Vignana, Faculty of Indigenous Medicine organized a Field Visit to Haldummulla Malitha Osu Uyana for Level III undergraduates (academic year 2019/2020) on 19th and 20th January 2023. This was a two-day program consisting of lectures and field practical sessions. Resource persons from the National Research and Medicinal Plants Garden of the Department of Ayurveda conducted the lectures and practical sessions.

This field visit is included in the BAMS Level III syllabus to fulfil the objectives of identifying medicinal plants based on their morphological characteristics, identifying properties and pharmacological effects and discussing importance of medicinal plant-based products as well as process of maintaining a plant nursery.
