AYUREX COLOMBO – 2023
AyurEx Colombo – 2023 emerged as the premier and most comprehensive event dedicated to the field of traditional medicine. It provided an exceptional platform for stakeholders, experts, and practitioners hailing from around the world to converge, collaborate, and delve into the expansive potential of traditional medicinal practices.
Under the esteemed patronage of the Ministry of Health and the Department of Ayurveda of the Government of Sri Lanka, in conjunction with the Head Office Welfare Society of the Ayurveda Department, a profound collaboration was forged with the erudite Faculty of Indigenous Medicine at the University of Colombo. Their shared vision aimed to dedicate this global stage to the exchange of expertise, knowledge, and skills, particularly focused on cutting-edge research interventions and innovations in the realm of Traditional Medicine.
This remarkable endeavor materialized as the International Conference on Traditional Medicine, Educational Exhibition, and Trade Fair, which unfolded from the 8th to the 10th of September in the year 2023, graciously hosted at BMICH, Colombo. During these momentous days, 30 students and two esteemed members of the academic staff from the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine at Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine took center stage, actively engaging with two stalls. Their dedicated efforts played an instrumental role in conveying the profound message of Ayurveda to nations far and wide.
The enlightening exhibition, AyurEx Colombo – 2023, was coordinated by Senior Lecturer Mrs. Chathurini Fernando, representing the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine at Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine.
