Department of Dravyaguna Vignana, Faculty of Indigenous Medicine organized a Field Visit to Haldummulla Malitha Osu Uyana for Level III undergraduates (academic year 2020/2021) on 31st January and 01st February 2024. This was a two-day program consisting of lectures and field practical sessions. Resource persons from the National Research and Medicinal Plants Garden of the Department of Ayurveda conducted the lectures and practical sessions.

This field visit is included in the BAMS Level III syllabus to fulfill the objectives of identifying medicinal plants based on their morphological characteristics, identifying properties and pharmacological effects and discussing the importance of medicinal plant-based products as well as the process of maintaining a plant nursery.
