Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, GWUIM at “DE AA SUKHI DAKSHINA” the International Ayurveda Medical Exhibition and trade fair – 2024, Galle The International Ayurveda Medical Exhibition and Trade Fair 2024, titled “DE AA SUKHI DAKSHINA,” organized by the Department of Ayurveda, Southern Province was held at the Town Hall, Galle from August 9th to 11th, 2024. The event was conducted concurrently with the 10th ICAUST, hosted by the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo.
The exhibition stall from the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine, was designed around the theme of “Human Anatomy.” This stall quickly became a highlight of the exhibition, attracting a large number of visitors with its engaging displays and interactive exhibits. Detailed models of the human body, including organs, muscles, and skeletal structures, were showcased with remarkable precision, offering an educational experience that captivated attendees. The stall’s success in sparking curiosity and providing valuable insights into human anatomy was evident from the enthusiastic response of the crowd.
The stall was coordinated by Dr. H.P.I.J. Kaldera, Head of the Department of Ayurveda Basic Principles, and Dr. N.S. Abegunasekara, Lecturer (Prob.) from the same department, under the supervision of Dr. W.J. Wickramarachchi, Dean of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine at the GWUIM. The team managing the stall included Dr. N.S. Abegunasekara, Lecturer (Prob.); Dr. M.G.D.N. Balasooriya, Lecturer (Prob.); Dr. U.D. Withanachchi, Lecturer (Prob.), and Dr. Himasha Wijeratne, Demonstrator, from the Department of Ayurveda Basic Principles, Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, GWUIM.
Dr.Abegunasekara and Dr.Balasooriya presented oral presentations at the 10th ICAUST, hosted by the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo at the same premises.
