Pharmaceutical Industrial Training Monitoring Programme 2021/2022
Pharmaceutical Industrial Training Monitoring Programme 2021/2022 The Department of Dravyaguna Vignana, Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, successfully conducted the Pharmaceutical Industrial Training Monitoring Programme for Year 3 Semester II undergraduates (academic year 2021/2022) on December 10th and 12th , 2024. This programme is an essential component of the BAMS Year 3 syllabus, designed to offer students valuable practical experience, ensuring that students gain comprehensive skills in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The training was conducted for a period of two weeks, starting from December 2nd 2024, with 25 Training Centres facilitating the students' training.
The Monitoring Programme covered a selection of notable training centres, including:
● Indigenous Drug Manufacturing Centre, Kappalthurei
● Provincial Ayurveda Drug Manufacturing Centre, Kurunegala
● Wanamandawe Ayurvedic Drugs Manufactory, Giriulla
● Provincial Ayurveda Drug Manufacturing Centre, Beliatta
● Mahagama Siddhausaha Manufacturing Centre, Galle
● Beam Hela Osu Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Puwakpitiya
● Sumana Ayurveda Drug Manufacturing Centre, Embilipitiya
Academic staff members of the Department of Dravyaguna Vignana: Dr. Tissa Hewavithana, Dr. T.A.N.R. Gunaratna, Dr. R.R.P.S. Nilmini, and Dr. W.A.D.L. Weragoda, actively participated in overseeing the monitoring of these training centres. Their involvement ensures that the training programme meets the high standards expected in the field of Ayurveda pharmaceutical education.
