Work Shop on Hotel Room Reservation Management
The Department of Indigenous Health Sciences proudly organized an enlightening guest lecture focused on the crucial topic of "Hotel Room Reservation Management," which formed an integral part of the "Front Office Operations" course module.The second-year students, following B.Sc. (Hons) Health Tourism and Hospitality Management, had the incredible opportunity to delve into the practical aspect of Room Reservations Management. They gained valuable insights into the intricacies of the room reservation process and its real-world applications. The guest lecture was successfully conducted at the New Faculty Building, Faculty of Indigenous Health Sciences and Technology, GWUIM. The session was conducted by Mr. Umayanga Gunerathna, Revenue and Reservations Manager for Teardrop Island (Teardrop hotels and villas).
By participating in this engaging session, the students were able to bridge the gap between theory and practice, further enhancing their understanding of the concepts discussed in the classroom lectures.
