Ms Dinali Ariyasinghe from the English Language Teaching Centre Delivered a Keynote Speech at the 3rd TESL Undergraduate Research Symposium
Ms. Dinali Ariyasinghe, a lecturer attached to the English Language Teaching Centre of Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine, served as the Keynote Speaker at the 3rd Teaching English a Second Language (TESL) Undergraduate Research Symposium organized by the Department of English Language Teaching (DELT), Faculty of Humanities, University of Kelaniya. The symposium was conducted on the 25th of November 2025 at the DELT Auditorium, University of Kelaniya.
In Ms. Ariyasinghe's Keynote speech titled: “The importance of conducting research and publications, and their benefits for TESL undergraduates”, she focused on the significance of conducting research for English as a Second Language (ESL) educators, sharing her own experience as an early career researcher. Further, she also highlighted that her own journey as a student-researcher began at this very symposium in 2015, encouraging TESL undergraduates to cultivate a genuine passion for research, intergrating it as an essential part of their lifelong learning process.
Ms. Ariyasinghe is also an alumna of the Department of English Language Teaching, University of Kelaniya.
