Closing Ceremony of the National Conference on Indigenous Knowledge Systems (NCIKS) 2026

The Closing Ceremony of the National Conference on Indigenous Knowledge Systems (NCIKS) 2026 was successfully held on the evening of 01st March 2026 at the Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine.

The ceremony was graced by the Vice Chancellor, distinguished guests of the technical sessions, academic and non-academic staff members, and students, marking a memorable conclusion to the conference.

The evening was enriched with colorful cultural dance performances presented by the talented undergraduates of the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, Faculty of Indigenous Health Sciences and Technology, and Faculty of Indigenous Social and Management Studies, celebrating the vibrant spirit of Indigenous heritage of Sri Lanka.

Highlights of the ceremony included the presentation of Best Presenter Awards, the awarding of tokens of appreciation to the Main Organizing Committee of NCIKS 2026, and the official handover of the conference to the NCIKS 2027 Organizing Committee, symbolizing continuity and future growth.
