A group of students of the Faculty of Indigenous Social Sciences and Management Studies went to Jayawardene Elders' home in Kesbewa to provide companionship, emotional support, and recreation for the elders to overcome their social isolation on the 2nd of March 2023. This group of students provided evening snacks and tea for the elderly and did some entertainment activities with them.
Finally, Ms Vidushi Wannigama and the team donated money to the caretakers to fulfill some of the needs of the elders' home. The manager, head warden, and nursing staff guided all the students to make their project a huge success. Special thanks go to Mr. Bhanuka Illangasinghe, Ms. Hashini Dayarathna & the team for organizing this project.
